August 2019 TWA Meeting (64)
Bob Van Dyke worked on a Saw Stop tablesaw. He is a big fan of the Saw Stop tablesaw, both for its high quality and its safety features. Bob used a piece of waxed paper to rub down the saw table. It puts down enough wax to make sure that the work pieces slide easily. This method is faster then applying paste wax. -
July 2018 - Period Furniture (14)
Freddy Roman apprenticed under master craftsmen Philip C. Lowe at the Furniture Institute of Massachusetts in Beverly, MA. After graduating, Freddy has worked for conservation studios and cabinet shops restoring furniture, making built-ins, kitchens, architectural elements, and reproducing museum quality furniture. Freddy has also continued to study in the field of period furniture, restoration, and conservation. -

Known for the quality and elegance of his turning technique, his chairs reflect an integral understanding of the intrinsic qualities of maple, poplar, hickory, and oak. -
